Youth Alive rally set

Youth Alive of Amissville is having a Christian Youth Alive Rally on Saturday, June 30 from 3 to 10 p.m. at Camp Willoughby in Quail Ridge. Sports, music, food, friends and fun are all featured activities for the evening. Live music will be provided by the 24/7 Band. For information call 937-5210.

This iveekend at Blue Moon

Stevie G. will be performing at Blue Moon Cafe just west of Sperryville on Friday, June 29. On Saturday, June 30 Bobby Glasker and The Blues Hawks will perform.

Summer trail rides

The Rappahannock Hunt is currently sponsoring its annual summer trail rides. On Sunday, July 1 the ride will be held at Elmwood at Boston at 10 a m. and on Sunday, July 8 at Bruce Mountain at Reva at 10 a.m.

4th of July fundraiser slated

The Washington Baptist Church will be sponsoring several fundraising activities during the annual Fourth of July event in Washington.

You are encouraged to come enjoy lunch or supper in the air-conditioned fellowship hall. You will have a choice of a taco, pizza or barbecued-chicken meal. While you are eating check out the items in the Silent Auction or in the Grandma’s Attic. You just might find a great deal! Proceeds from these activities will go to the Church Building Fund. Rapidtran will not operate

Rapidtran transportation services will not operate on Wednesday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. Rapidtran is a program of the Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board.

Activities at Dreamtime

Making Herbal Beer will be held July 28 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Dreamtime Center for Herbal Studies near Washington. The cost is $60 and includes all materials. Spend a delightful day with Tara Welty learning all the howtos of herbal beer brewing.

Kitchen Cosmetics will be ‘^sti 'red a? r 18 from 9:30 to 4:30. Learn how to make, package, label and market your own natural health and beauty cosmetics. Lots of recipes will be given and through demonstration, you will create your own shampoos, hair rinses, facial toners, foot powders and more. The cost is $60 which includes all materials.

Piedmont Family Fair set

Live musical entertainment, fly fishing on the lake, Jack Russell terrier races and a wide assortment of fine crafters are just a few of the highlights at the 10th annual Piedmont Family Fair scheduled for Wednesday, July 4 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Airlie Conference Center, Warrenton. The Warrenton-based Piedmont Environmental Council sponsors the Piedmont Family Fair.

In addition to music and entertainment, other activities will include wine tasting, butterfly garden tours, nature walks, beagle and sheepdog demonstrations, local crafters, artists' show, vintage car show and much more. Admission is $10 per carload. Call 347-2334 for more information.
