His film credits include five films with Jimmy Stewart; “the Caine Mutiny” with Humphrey Bogart; four westerns with his pal Audie Murphy; “The Left Handed Gun” with Paul Newman, and three films with Burt Reynolds, including “Gator" on which he served as associate producer and script writer.
Best and his actress wife Dorothy now live in Geneva, Fla. where he continues to act, write, paint in oils and watercolor, and catch as many fish as the law will allow.
