New Librarian Nicki Lynch was on hand to greet the small crowd that had gathered for the opening of the new library Monday. She reported that the move went very smoothly, and that Dieter Knuepfer, who volunteered to organize the move is “a wonderful man who actually moved all the books alphabetically.”
Tanya Richey’s upcoming show at Middle Street Gallery in Washington began four years ago. Opening July 4 the 20-piece show, mixed medium on various surfaces, bring about a whole new realm of artistic expression for Mrs. Richey. Moving from still life and watercolor scenes, Mrs. Richey moves into symbols and myths in acrylic, oils and metallic ink on papyrus and masonite board and canvas.
The Board of Supervisors voted unanimously Monday night to adopt the proposed budget for next year. The $7.1 million budget will continue to be funded by a 77 cent rate on real estate and $2.90 rate on personal property.
