Nancie Gallegos of Washington will be departing on June 25 for Peace Corps service in Gabon.
Miss Gallegos, a 1997 graduate of Rappahannock County High School, will work as an agriculture extension agent in Gabon, learning about and practicing improved agriculture techniques with her community to maximize crop yield while minimizing environmental impact.
“I see the Peace Corps as an opportunity to live and work among a unique culture of people,” said Gallegos.
