Congratulations to Miss Amanda Sims who has been selected for “Honors Admission” by Mary Washington College Fredericksburg, for the fall semester, 2001.

Miss Sims graduated on June 16 from Rappahannock County High School where she was editor of the school newspaper, Rapport, secretary of the National Honor Society and co-president of the Environmental Club. She made the honor roll and was recognized as a Rappahannock Scholar.

Amanda is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Sims of Sperryville Pike. We’re proud of you Amanda! Keep up the good work.

Sympathy is extended to Mrs. Arlean Brown and Mr. Richard Aylor of Reva and all family members and friends upon the passing of Mrs. Edna Aylor Green, 88, who died at Culpeper Regional Hospital on June 10. She was retired as license examiner for Division of Motor Vehicles and also will be remembered as operator of Valley Restaurant and Green’s Grocery.

Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Vacation Bible School began Monday, June 25 and will continue through Friday, June 29 each day 9:30 a.m. until noon. Young people of the area are urged and invited to attend.

A full time degree of undergraduate student in the School of Arts with 12 hours of extra credit and a 3.6 Quality Point average is the requirement in order to be placed on the Dean’s List at William and Mary College and Miss Julie
