Public School System ' Has your child been “Caught Doing Something Good”? Each Friday until the end of the year, a student will be awarded a certificate and balloon to recognize a thoughtful act. Students are encouraged to nominate others that they observe demonstrating some kind, thoughtful, generous behavior.
Our first student randomly chosen for recognition was third grader Melanie Jenkins. She was nominated by Brittany Cooke for helping with her Primary Science Fair project.
Some of our other nominees were fifth grader Kelly Herrell, third grader Logan McKiernan, fourth grader Jake Williams and seventh grader James Henze. This very positive program is being sponsored by the RCES PTO. The name was borrowed from a similar program begun at RCHS by Principal Joe Perine.
We encourage our students to continue to watch for (and applaud) other “random acts of kindness” that they observe daily.
