Cornelia Ann Williams Welch, 76, of Highland Springs, formerly of Flint Hill, died Monday, March 18 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond.
Mrs. Welch was born in Rappahannock County on Aug. 31, 1925, a daughter of the late Bub B. Williams and Ethel E. Heflin Williams. She was the wife of the late R. Edward Welch.
Mrs. Welch retired from Avtex after 34 years of service. She was a member of the Flint Hill United Methodist Church, member and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department.
She is survived by a son, Robert L. Welch of Highland Springs; a sister, Viola Jackson of Front Royal, and a number of nieces and nephews.
