Lions set May 4 for auction
The annual Rappahannock Lions Auction will be held on Saturday, May 4 at the Washington Fire Hall. Please start thinking about those treasures that you would like to find a new home!

The Lions can begin receiving items now for storage should you like the items to be picked up. The above committee members will help coordinate pick ups and advise on the types of items that can be used for the auction.
Workshop for con tractors set
Contractors who would like to learn more about erosion and sediment control are invited to participate in a workshop scheduled for April 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Orange. It will also be an opportunity for professionals in the field to share their views on problems that they see with required E&S practices. 5
Offered by the Thomas Jefferson and the Culpeper Soil and Water Conservation Districts, and by the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation, the workshop will include such topics as how proper installation and maintenance of practices can save money, and how to convert temporary sediment basins to permanent storm water management ponds. Team captains to meet
The next meeting of Relay for Life team captains takes place on March 28 at 7:30 p.m. at the Washington Baptist Church. While team registration will continue until the day of the Relay, those team captains who register their teams by this meeting will receive an incentive prize. Ki Theater to present plays
The Ki Theater is presenting “Creating a Scene, Ten Minute Plays” on Saturday, April 6 at 8 p.m. The five, more or less, plays range from the sublime to the absurd.
The always creative and always rotating actors in the Ki Theater roster of local talents include Peter Hornbostel, Janet Davis, Joyce Abell, Lyt Wood, Mike Mahoney, Dave Hilty and Sallie Morgan.

Rabies clinic planned
A rabies vaccination clinic will be held at the Rappahannock Animal Welfare League, Route 639 off of US 211 in Amissville on Saturday, April 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost is $10 per pet.

Foddeistack race day set
The 24th annual Fodderstack race will be held on Saturday, April 20. Registration fees remain the same at $20 per person. For additional information call 675-5330.
