nuwuy was active in me Rappahannock Lions Club, holding nearly every office including President.
He also worked with the Area Agency of Aging and , edited their monthly newsletter.
Helen volunteered with the Historical Society in Washington for the 1976 Bicentennial, they photographed all of the area barns, outbuildings and homes built prior to the Revolutionary War and assembled a show, which was a popular part of the county’s 200-year celebration.
Both Howdy and Helen were active members at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church, teaching Sunday School and serving in many other capacities, for which they are fondly remembered.
Retirement for the Holschuhs has meant lots of travel opportunities.
They have traveled the world over, including trips to Europe, Asia and South America.
They currently reside in Hilton Head Island, S.C. where Howdy writes and pursues his favorite hobby, photography.
