Mrs. Estes was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington. She was a member of the Culpeper Chapter of DAR, a charter member of the Rappahannock Garden Club, and a member of the Sperryville Bridge Club ,for many years.
She was the widow of Charles H. Estes.
Survivors include her son, Charles K. Estes of Sperryville; three grandchildren, Katherine E. Baader Kilby and Charles K. Estes II, both of Sperryville and M. Susan Estes Ryan of Virginia Beach and three great-grandchildren, . Michael Joseph Baader II, Charles Benjamin Estes and Julia Katherine Estes, all of Sperryville.
In addition to her husband, she was also predeceased by three sisters, Virginia Miller Lindstrom, Louise Campbell and Helen Benton; and a granddaughter, Anne Gore Estes.
Graveside services were conducted March 23 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Cemetery in Woodville by the Rev. Jennings Hobson III.
Clore-English Funeral Home in Culpeper was in charge of the arrangements.
