1 do. Honest Injun. In tact, 1 support surplus budgets, not the deficit budgets for which Mr. Cantor just voted. Oh sure, he will claim that the recent House passed budget was “balanced,” but it is predicated on using $1.6 trillion (that’s trillion with a “f”) from the Social Security Trust Fund.
That fund should be inviolate. In fact, if we now had a Balanced Budget Amendment as Mr. Cantor demands, the trust funds would be in a “lock box,” untouchable. Which means, of course, that Mr. Cantor would in effect now be calling for a $1.6 trillion tax increase to balance that budget.
Yep, it’s not too much of a stretch — using Mr. Cantor’s own logic — to say that by supporting a Balanced Budget Amendment, he is calling for a tax hike of 1.6 trillion bucks. Just another tax-and-spender.

I support that as critical spending, but I also recognize that it will increase this year’s deficit, which is already expected to reach $46 billion dollars (with trust funds included).
