at RCHS at 7:30 a.m. where they will get trash bags and directions to a site that needs attention. The first 60 students will be given Trash Free Rappahannock t-shirts complete with an original design by student Kevin Yowell.
Students will be asked to work for just four hours, after which they will return to RCHS for a Spring Festival, complete with live music, pie-eating contests, three-legged races, a teacher kissing a pig (!) and more. The public is invited to attend.
Proceeds from the Festival will support the building of a darkroom for a new RCHS Photography Class. Many thanks to county volunteer and Trash Free Rappahannock organizer John Kiser for assisting with the purchase of t-shirts for our students. This will be a fun way to clean up the roadways in Rappahannock, and support our schools at the same time.
