Summer Reading
Club scheduled
The Rappahannock County Library Summer Reading Club is just around the corner. This year’s theme is “Books and Pets: Our Friends for Life,” and the Saturday programs will include award-winning storytellers, live snakes and lizards and alligators, puppet shows and more. Summer Reading Club will begin on Saturday, July 6 and will continue each Saturday through Aug. 10 at 11 a.m. with the exception of July 27 which will begin at 3 p.m.

butterfly count
The sixth annual Shenandoah National Park-Luray Area Butterfly Count will be held on Sunday, July 7. The rain date is July 14. Volunteers will spend the day identifying and counting butterflies within a 15-mile circle centered on Hershberger Hill, between Stanley and Luray in Page County.
