It’s official — summer has begun. Are we exhausted already? In our view, rather than plunging headlong into summer and rushing off to other vacation spots, there is much to be said for discovering and rediscovering what is close by. Our families, our friends, our neighbors, and our community are beckoning. Let’s celebrate summer this year by looking around us and seeing what we’ve not seen before. Are there some trails in our County that need hiking? New neighbors we could invite over for a picnic? Are there any shops we’ve not explored? How many cherries and blueberries and strawberries can we pick with the family?. By summer’s end perhaps some corners in Rappahannock will be more familiar, we’ll have new friends in our new neighbors and our family will be even more dear. Yeah, summer!
