Jenkins reunion planned
The families of the late Peyton and Laura Jenkins and the late Virgil and Ada Jenkins will gather on Saturday, June 29 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Rappahannock Park on US 211. Those attending should bring a covered dish to share.
Keating to perform at Mountainside
Vyktoria Pratt Keating will be performing at the Mountainside Pub in Sperryville on Saturday. July 6 starting at 8:30 p.m. There is no cover charge.
After spending the better part of three years in the Southwest, Ms. Keating has returned to Virginia for an extended stay to perform, record and be near friends and family. Keating, a self-styled singer/songwriter and guitarist in the acoustic rock genre, made a national name for herself when she toured with world renowned rockers Jethro Tull in 1999, opening 42 shows in the states and the U K.
Representative to visit County
U.S. Senator George Allen’s regional representative will hold local office hours on June 26 in Rappahannock County. Chaz Evans-Haywood will at the Rappahannock Library from noon to 2 p.m. on that day.
