Culpeper Regional events set

The following events are scheduled for the month of July through Culpeper Regional Hospital.

On July 1, a program, “Get the Skinny on Cholesterol." will be offered. This session will teach you about the affects of cholesterol on your heart, and you will learn some easy and effective ways to improve your own cholesterol levels.

Diabetes Support Group meets on July 1 at 7 p.m. at Culpeper Regional Hospital. Just ask anyone who’s been to a session and you’ll hear that the exchange of ideas and resources can be truly helpful.

Desktop Yoga will be offered on July 9 from 6 to 7 p.m. and is a very popular class because it works! For information on these and other programs call Culpeper Regional Hospital Outreach at 829-4190 to register.

Open house scheduled

The Front Royal Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints invites the Front Royal and surrounding communities to a Family History Open House on Tuesday, July 2 at 7 p.m. The Open House will be held at the Front Royal Meeting house of the Church, located at 7145 Browntown Road.

This event is to highlight the importance to present and future generations of preparing and maintaining family records. Examples of written and oral histories, genealogies and the stories associated with cherished family artifacts and memorabilia will be presented. There will be presentations by Mr. James Russell, life-long resident of Sperryville and Col. Dwight Gray, U. S. Army, retired, who resides in Alexandria.
