The Millennium Stage was created to give artists a chance to perform at the prestigious center and to give people who arrive early for an opera or play a warm up act.
Because Millennium Stage performances are free to the public, it makes for a perfect musical appetizer for people who have dinner reservations in the neighborhood.
Henderson is accompanied by five musicians: Bob Smith (piano), Robert Vetter (trumpet and flugelhom), Ron Diel (saxophone), Dallas Smith (bass) and Steve Fidyk (drums).
“I have known most of these guys forever,” Henderson said. “Many of them are retired military and were in various armed service bands. They are a wonderful bunch, and I couldn’t do it with out them.”
