Rappahannock County High School graduated the class of 2002 on Saturday, June 15. This year’s graduation was much more comfortable than last year's thanks to cooler temperatures and a nice breeze passing through open doors.
Inspiring speeches were given by Keynote speaker Col. Nels Parson, Valedictorian Holly Long, and Salutatorian Garner Smythe.
Holly Long was awarded three scholarships: the Rappahannock County Math/ Science/Engineering Scholarship, an RCHS Music Boosters Scholarship, and the Culpeper Regional Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship.
Garner Smythe was awarded a Rappahannock County National Bank Scholarship and the ROTC Marine Corps Scholarship.
