Bluemon t series con ti n ues
The Bluemont 2002 summer series will continue on Saturday, July 27 with Daryl Davis Band at the old Warren Green in downtown historic Warrenton. Requested admission is $5 per person, $3 for Bluemont friends and seniors ahd $1 for children under six. In case of bad weather the event will be held at Taylor Middle School. Brandy Station announces carnival
Brandy Station Volunteer firemen will sponsor their annual carnival July 31 through Aug. 3 at Fleetwood Heights Rdad in Brandy Station. The carnival opens each evening at 7. The parade will be held Aug. 1 beginning at 6:30 p.m. A matinee will be held on Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. with a special ride price.
Agent to visit in October
Walt Phillips, the VA Claims Agent, will not be coming to the Culpeper VEC for his monthly visits in August or September due to other commitments. His next scheduled visit wilt be Oct. 7. For additional information call 829-7430.
Alumni Association plans reunion
The George Washington Carver Alumni Association is sponsoring a school reunion Aug. 30-31 at the Holiday Inn Select Central Park in Fredericksburg. On Friday there will be a time of music, reminiscing and hospitality. Dinner and dancing will be held beginning at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
