The most recent addition, to the Copper Fox consortium, is Debbie Cowan’s Vintage Vixon thrift shop, just openedlast weekend. Ms. Cowan has; spent months collecting and* preparing vintage clothing,] shoes, housewares and miscel-; lania for sale, and she is offers ing theth at reasonable prices^, and in excellent condition. . ?
Many of the clothes and shoes on display have never, been worn, and they are avail-r able at bargain prices. Fiveb packs of men’s work pants, for] example, stain-free and of uni*' form size, are priced from $15b per pack and will give the buyer a week’s worth of changes for well under tfie price of a single pair of pants.
Ms. Cowan has lots of children’s and women's clothing, and shoes too, and she is con-, tinually adding to the inventqry. A large back-to-school colV lection has been racked for easy sale, and a number qf unworn 70’s vintage women’s! dresses and blouses are look-, ing for that bold trendsetter.
“Haggling is welcomed,”, Ms. Cowan said, and she looks, forward to visits from shoppers and from anyone wishing to consign their “like newclothing for sale. She also saifl that she will soon establish a' “barter post” for anyone wishing to trade their time and ser-.’ vices for other’s time and ser-] vices. 4
