Martha Catherine Smith, infant daughter of Catherine Ann Bemat and Allen Denver Smith of Chester Gap died Wednesday, July 17 at Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal.
In addition to her parents, survivors include a sister, Caitlvn Elizabeth Smith; maternal grandparents, Catherine Moore-Bemat of Chester Gap and Ronald Bemat of Greensboro, N.C.; paternal grandfather, Allen Smith of Chicago and great-grandparents. Catherine Bemat of Philadelphia, Pa„ Billie Smith of Phoenix. Ariz. and Denver Smith of Arizona.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday, July 22 at Tumer-Robertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal with Pastor Hoover Heflin officiating. Interment followed in Panorama Memorial Gardens.
Elizabeth Grigsby

Elizabeth Strother Cubbage Grigsby. 75, of Washington died on July 16 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was bom Dec. 16, 1926 in Rappahannock County to the late Maggie and Thomas A. Cubbage.
She was a member of Forest Grove Baptist Church and a homemaker. Many county residents delighted in her cooking skills, enjoyed her beautiful flower beds and knew of her talents as a quilter.
She is survived by her husband, Alvin P. “Mike” Grigsby; three sons, Floyd Grigsby and his wife, Laura, James Grigsby and his wife, Louise and Rick Grigsby and his wife, Susan; two daughters, Lillian Norman and her husband, Nick and Suzi $mith and her husband, Patrick; one brother, Owen Q. Cubbage and a sister, Cecil Lewis.
Other survivors include Mrs. Grigsby’s devoted longtime friends, Jane and Roger Batchelder and Beverly and Hal Hunter; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by four brothers, Louie Cubbage, Oakley Cubbage, Edward
