tale afternoon
reflection* <sm tile river Quivering shimmer of brilliant light reflecting the waning sun’s afternoon flight, twinkling with diamonds that dance untamed, throwing light into the burgundy leaves all inflamed. Beloved Plums, the three trees stand guard near the wall and water that greets the yard. , Glowing like embers from the setting sun a heavenly picture that can’t be outdone. I know even the gnats are enjoying the view, their flitting flight now backlit too. Just enough light to pick up the wake of ducklings paddling as if their life was at stake, but their mother’s nearby, with a watchful eye, as they spy a lumbering turtle swim by. The water now being unearthly stilled with an Egret’s reflection perfectly fulfilled. Shadows deepen and the sun starts to peek through weathered boards of the fence by the creek.
