successful and full of fun
Sunday, July 14 marked the end of the 53rd annual
Culpeper-Madison-Rappahannock Farm Fair
held at the Culpeper Agricultural Enterprises, south of Culpeper.
Each year, the exhibitors put a lot of time, effort and money into the animals and products, which they display at the Farm Fair and in turn Rappahannock youngsters always bring home a sizable amount of awards and trophies and this year was no exception.
The livestock exhibitors’ animals are often purchased by local businesses, which in turn provide the youngsters with some reimbursement funds for their labors and expenses. We join the 4-H Club members in thanking those businesses and individuals once again this year for their support, encouragement and generosity.
We extend special thanks and appreciation to Hazel Zinn-Day, our 4-H Program Support Technician for her many countless hours of service and encouragement to the nearly 200 children involved in 4-H in Rappahannock County. She is constantly encouraging children to get involved in the various programs and always goes the extra mile to make sure they are getting the instruction and guidance they need to carry these programs through. She is a real asset to the Rappahannock 4-H programs and We commend her for leading our county’s children through another successful Farm Fair week. If you see her — say thanks!
