Down on River Lane in Sperryville blooms a spot where visitors and local folk can shop with a conscience. Rick Wasmund acquired the rights to Alex Sharp’s cold storage building for a distillery last year, but while that idea ferments he decided to use some of that great space as an antiques and consignment shop.
There is a total of forty thousand square feet of timber-built edifice there, and it gives testimony to once thriving apple business in the County. The building is a classic in, perhaps, the Apple Crate vernacular, and its renewal as a gathering spot
