Grigs by fa m i ly reu nion

Fiber Camp for Kids
Misty Mountain Farm in Amissville will sponsor a funfilled workshop for children age 6-10 on Aug. 11-15 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. There will be a new project each morning, as children learn the basics of spinning, weaving, and felting. We will be using fiber from the animals here on our farm and visits with the llamas, goats and sheep will be included. Parents are welcome to stay for the fun. The cost is $50. Veterans agent to visit
Virginia Department of Veterans Affairs Claim Agent, Walt Phillips, will visit the Culpeper office of the Virginia Employment Commission on Aug. 12 and Aug. 21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to assist military veterans with Federal Veterans Affairs forms. The Culpeper VEC office is located at 529 Meadowbrook Shopping Center. Veterans needing to contact Phillips before his visits can call 1-800925-0640.
Channeling weekends
The Rappahannock Healing Arts Center will hold advanced channeling classes on Friday, Aug. 15 from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 17 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The cost is $225.
