George V. Devers

George Varner Devers, 85, of Front Royal died Aug. 3 in the Southerlands Nursing Home in Front Royal.
Mr. Devers was bom June 6, 1918 in Flint Hill to the late William Randolph and the late Ida Mae Vamer Devers.
He was a farmer in Rappahannock County and retired from Avtex in 1981 after 25 years of employment. He was a member of the Flint Hill United Methodist Church.
Mr. Devers is survived by his wife, Virginia Marchi Devers and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held Aug. 5 at Maddox Funeral Home with Rev. William F. Ruehl officiating. Interment followed in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Front Royal.
