It may have been the final meeting, but from the size of the crowd, the largest on the Planning Commission’s circuit of town meetings regarding revisions to the county’s Comprehensive Plan, it was obvious that citizens still had many concerns to address.
Most of the 50 residents attending last Thursday’s meeting in Flint Hill used the opportunity to speak out on a wide variety of issues including commercial development, village revitalization, leadership problems, traffic concerns in Flint Hill and future uses of the Aileen Plant.
Now that the public forums are over, the next step in the process of reviewing the Comprehensive Plan usually is the creation of a series of draft chapters for the plan which the commission will evaluate, according to County Administrator John McCarthy
These chapters will incorporate concerns addressed at the public hearings and, in several months, when a document has been created that the commission agrees upon.
