The Rappahannock County Garden Club met July 16 at the Gray Ghost Winery in Amissville.

Winery owner A1 Kellert spoke to the group about how they began to grow grapes for wine-making and how the business has grown with much success.

In the Design Class I “Fruit of the Vine”, Betty Wood won a blue ribbon with her design using grapes.

In the Class II design “Rally Round the Flag”, Mary Priest won a blue ribbon for advanced designer and Maureen Harris won a blue ribbon for novice designer.

In Horticulture, Class I Daylilies: Blue ribbon to Mary Priest and Maureen Harris;

Class II Lilies: Blue ribbon to Mary Priest;

Class III Beans: No blue ribbon awarded.
