Auctioneer Bill Payne, on stage at the old Washington School in Little Washington, keeps the bidding brisk at a standmg-room-only auction to raise funds for the Child Care and Learning Center Saturday evening. More than 200 persons attended the festive benefit which raised $47,000, exceeding last year's goal. The money goes towards a new bus for CCLC and its scholarship fund.
