Before rushing off to , prepare for her next appearance, Portman reflected on what she has learned by explaining how the dynamics of storytelling are dependent upon a responsive audience.
“Listening is considered a 'high art.' Listeners are as important to the show as are the performers, and a listener needs as much skill as the actor or actress on the stage," she said.
“It is essential that the themes of the play or story resonate with good listeners.”
