“I haven't heard any rumblings here,” said DeMartino. “I guess we must have our mind on the gospel.”
Then he added, “Catholics are prudent but not prudes.”
Cathv Kreyling, organizer of the calendar, was asked to comment on what the pastors have been saying.
“I’d like people to look at it before they decide," she said. “If after having seen the calendar they find it offensive, don't buy it.”
Kreyling said sales of the calendar are brisk and they have made $36,000 so far in the sales of 3,000 calendars.
The calendar, which is in its second printing, has been the topic of several television shows)} including CNN and Good Morning America)) as well as the subject of national stories this past week, including one in the New York Daily News.
There will be a calendar signing with some of the Men of Rappahannock' at the Tbwn Duck in Warrenton on Thursday, Nov. 20 from 5:30 to 8 p.m., Kreyling said.
