Community Irreakjast
On Saturday, Nov. 15, there will be a community breakfast at the Flint Hill Fire Hall starting at 8:45 a.m. The public is invited. The Flint Hill United Methodist Church is sponsoring the breakfast as a fund-raiser for the local Rappahannock County Troop 36, Boy Scouts of America. The power of story
"The Passion, Power and Promise in Your Story” is a premiere performance weaving insights about the power of story with tales inspired by remarkable events in people's lives. It is written and performed by New York Obie Award winning actress Julie Portman at Ki Theatre on Nov. 15 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15. For tickets and more information call 540987-3164. Life casting class
Rappahannock County High School Art teacher, Joy Sours, will teach Lifecasting on Saturday, Nov. 15 through the Adult Education Program. Lifecasting creates life-size lifelike sculptures through the use of molds and plaster. Registration forms may be picked up at either the school, library or the kiosk in Washington. Harvest bonfire & chili
Kick off the holiday season with Farfelu Vineyard’s Endof-the-Harvest Bonfire and Chili Fest on Nov. 15-16 from 11 a m. to 5 p.m. each day. Festivities will include the bonfire, Fou de Rouge Chili, live music and a wide range of wine country gift ideas for holiday shoppers. Guests can also hike the winery’s Rappahannock River trail and tour the 1860s dairy barn-turned winery. A $10 fee includes wine tasting, live music, chili and a souvenir glass.
