Squad goes
to Regionals

After weeks of practice, $ore muscles and learning counts, the Rappahannock County High School Cheerleading Competition Squad is going to the Regionals. All the hard work, focus and determination finally paid off at the Cheerleading District Competition at Manassas Park on Nov. 5
This year the Regional Competition is , being held at Strasburg High School at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15.
After the first round, when Rappahannock County was named as one of the top three teams to continue to the second round, the squad went back in the locker room, pulled themselves together and went to work again, and work they did.
After the scores were tallied for the second round, Rappahannock County found itself in second place. Manassas Park came in first with Clarke County placing third.
“When our kids hit the mat on Wednesday evening, I have never seen such pride and determination on their faces before. They really pulled together as a team and worked hand in hand,” explained Coach Pullin.
Three of Rappahannock County’s squad members were named to the All District Teams. Krystal Smoot was named to Second Team „ All District and Kelsey Hutcheson and Tommy Voorhies were named to the First Team All, District.
