RESTAURANT OPENS: Andy Thompson's dream of opening a restaurant came true this month when the Thornton River Grille opened in Sperryville. Customers can either dine at the bar or at one of the tables in the restaurant which seats 45. Reservations are recommended for dinner. Right, Chef Tom Nash, formerly of The Rail Stop in The Plains, cooks up some fine food at the restaurant. Customers delight in the cuisine which is upscale yet moderate in price.
