She also served as a family therapist and drug prevention educator in Greenwich, Conn., before being employed as a drug prevention specialist for a pilot junior high school program in Florida. Currently, she continues her part-time personal coaching practice at the Rappahannock Healing Arts Center that she began nine years ago.

Alongside the Program Coordinator, a volunteer Executive Committee oversees the program. This group recruits and trains mentors, people from the Rappahannock community who commit to spending an average of one hour a week with the young person to whom they are matched.
