As an extra special project, the students planted a California Sapphire evergreen tree in front of the Rappahannock Elementary School, in honor of Lauren and all the other Rett Syndrome children. Jimmy Deal and Sheriff Larry Sherertz participated in preparing for the planting of the evergreen tree.

increases after morning break when he writes reviews of new books in the library while serving as a resource person for Ms. Long's Op-Ed class. By third period, Travis is working at top speed helping to challenge Tbny Lambiasi's World History II Honors students.
After refueling at lunch, Travis finishes his day with the extra burst of energy necessary to work with Haf Davies’ eighthgrade English class.
Travis's hard work and positive spirit have earned for him the admiration of students and the gratitude of teachers. According to Lambiasi, “He's the ideal addition to our writing-intensive history class. I'm even more pleased with his presence than I was with his resume.”
For Davies, “Travis has been a tremendous help in our classroom. He regularly takes a small group of higher ability pupils to the library to help them reach their maximum potential.” And for Amy Hughes, the librarian, “Travis is a wonderful volunteer. He never hesitates to jump right in and help.”
