Veggie Chimichanga to Pasta of the Day.
For dinner, try whetting your appetite with the Cheese and Wine Sampler, paired with a local, Virginia wine. Other starters include Asian Style Chicken Wings, Poached Apple, and Black and Bleu Beef Tips. Nash’s favorite is Grilled Shrimp with avocado and cilantro pesto. Or you may prefer one of the numerous salads in addition to or instead of an appetizer.
For the main course, beef dishes are a favorite. Hamburger lovers will want to try The Burger (prepared “any way you want it” says the menu). For heavier fare, steaks are always a favorite, including a 14-ounce Grilled Ribeye, and a 6 or 12-ounce House Cut of Filet Mignon.
If you’re really hungry and carnivorous and haven’t exceeded your cholesterol for the day, opt for the house’s piece de resistance and most expensive dish, a 20-ounce Grilled Porterhouse served with a roasted garlic demi-glaze. Two people can share this dish.
When you’re not in the mood for beef, there are plenty of other main choices. Try the Texas Style Spare Ribs (with fries and slaw) or the Housemade Bratwurst. In the poultry department is Seared Free Range Chicken or the lighter Flaming Rooster Sandwich. Seafood selections are Grilled Shrimp, a Crabcake Sandwich and Fish of the Day. There is also Porterhouse Pork Chop. A variety of veggies and special sauces enhance the main dish.
