to expose us to increasing amounts of nudity and sexu-v ally suggestive scenes. With \ the collective sensibility of our society dulled to immodest behavior, any plea for modesty is viewed as absurd. I believe there has been a loss of awareness of God’s call to purity and holiness. Worse than that, I believe there has been a loss of the knowledge of why it is even important.
My heart goes out to teachers in our schools who struggle against the barriers our secular culture erects to the teaching of Godly principles, the exercise of right authority, and the upholding of a standards of behavior that produce a civilized and productive society.
We make jokes about nudity, drunkenness, unfaithfulness and sexual orientation. There is no joke in the end.
I believe God calls us to exercise his pattern for love, forgiveness, faithfulness, selfcontrol and holiness. Do we have ears to hear?
