Some of the challenges occur outside of the classroom. According to Travis, “One teacher wanted to know what grade I was in and another teacher challenged me for being in the teacher's lounge.”
When asked about the benefits of volunteering, Travis smiles and says, “You get to see aspects of high school you never get to see as a student. That's cool, and funny.”
