The workshop is sponsored by Ki Theatre and held in Washington. Julie Portman, who teaches the workshop, has written five plays inspired by life stories with hundreds of performances across the United States. Her recent play, Three
experience an evening to remember, as well as the satisfaction of contributing to a worthy cause.
In addition to five music provided by student musicians, the Brooks Tegler Quartet has been engaged to play hoppin’ five swing music for dancing.
The event begins with hors d’oeuvres, music and mingling. The seated dinner will feature student chef-waiters (with adult volunteers serving wine). Attire is “denim or diamonds,”

One of his customers realized his paintings skills were much more developed and had him render a mythological mural on the ceiling of his home. This was the beginning of his career in fine arts and now he is recognized as one of Virginia’s finest artists.
As Whiting says with a wry smile, “After painting the mini version of the Sistine Chapel, the rest was history.”
