March 1 was another sad
and sickening day for the residents of Grimsley Road. There was a ray of hope that the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors would have a little 20/20 hindsight and realize that their previous vote to pave Grimsley Road was an error in judgment.
There was hope that they would exhibit the intelligence they have demonstrated in the past and would reconsider, seeing as how more than 20 residents spoke at previous meetings against paving and only ONE resident spoke in favor of paving.
There was hope that the supervisors would have respected the wishes of the overwhelming majority of the residents of the road. Surely, the board could see their mistake.
