at previous meetings that “Grimsley Road is not a transportation priority” and that bridge replacements and repairs in other parts of the county ARE priorities and that “these (bridges) will require significantly more funding in each six year plan.”
How could the board not see that taking $30,000 of VDOT funds to pave the flattest, safest part of Grimsley Road, to fulfill the wishes of one resident, was a gross misappropriation of county funds?!
Silly residents, thinking there was still a chance for the democratic process to work as it should.
