A flag flown on Maj. Jonathan A. Watson Jr.'s C-130 aircraft on 30 combat missions over Afghanistan and Iraq was presented to the Rappahannock County schools by his mother, Dianne Pendleton at the School Board's meeting on March 9. Watson attended Rappahannock public schools from first grade through high school and got his commission at the U. S. Air Force Academy. He is now an instructor and aircraft commander with the 61st Airlift Squadron.
