Jim Rees, 52, is the dynamic and Washington-besotted Executive Director of Mount Vernon, Washington’s house on the Potomac, the one children visit with their parents. During the week, Rees lives on the Mount Vernon grounds, but for weekends, he owns a quaint and tiny mid-19th century log cabin on the flanks of Hickerson Mountain near Flint Hill.
