During the past several weeks, Wakefield Country Day School’s auditorium in Flint Hill has been the site of almost non-stop activities that have included kindergarten, middle school, and upper school graduation ceremonies.
First, to the joyful observation of many proud parents, relatives and friends, a ceremony was held where each kindergartner recited a poem from memory and “graduated” to first grade; the girls in white dresses and the boys in white shirts, dark pants and dress ties. >
Next, the seventh graders, after a strenuous academic year that included completion of what many characterize as one of the most challenging classes, British History, earned their rite of passage and received their diplomas in an evening ceremony marking their graduation to the upper school.
