The event marks the first public tasting of the 2003 Cabernet Franc. The winery only produced 170 cases of the Cabernet Franc which is rich with raspberry, currant and cherry flavors plus the classic spicy finish. Because it was aged in 100 percent French oak barrels it has developed a luscious, velvety, lingering finish.
The winery is located at 14706 Lee Highway in Amissville and can be contacted at 540-937-4869. The tasting room is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
