After a domestic dispute Friday evening, June 25, James William Cameron, 22, of Sperryville, was charged by Virginia State Police with felony counts of attempted abduction, attempted malicious wounding and domestic assault.
According to state police, Cameron would not permit his wife, Regina C. Cameron, 21, to leave their house on 47 Mt. High Lane, and when she left, he allegedly chased her with a 3” folding knife in his hand saying he would kill her. Police said he slashed the tires of her car as she was about to drive away. Her tires went flat. He cut himself with the knife, police said. He was charged and taken to the magistrate in Little Washington, and a protective order was issued, police said.
