Adaptive’Recreation Specialist
F/T position Parks, Recreation and Community Services Adaptive Recreation program, Leesburg, VA. Primary areas of focus are adult programs, summer day camp for youth, day/ovemight trips, and assist with other program areas. Duties include developing, implementing and evaluating programs for individuals with disabilities. Performs community outreach and public relations, and conducts needs assessment. Work schedule includes evenings, weekends, and some overnights. Requires Bachelor's in Therapeutic Recreation, Special Education or related field. Prefer six months experience working with the special needs population in a recreation environment. Prefer CTRS and/or CLP certification. Requires a CDL within 90 days of hire.
