improve access to higher education.

This legislation streamlines the process for students wishing to transfer from community colleges to four-year institutions in Virginia, as well as improve and expand distance learning capabilities and opportunities in the state.

Over the course of the 2004 session of the General Assembly, my office was able to put into law legislation that will make attaining higher education easier, gang and domestic violence rarer, our roads safer, and our communities more secure.

Through all of this, we have taken another step toward making Virginia an even better place to call home.
