That film was based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, “Killer Angels,” by Michael Shaara. His second Civil War movie, “Gods and Generals,” based on the novel of that title by Shaara’s son, Jeff Shaara, was released in February 2003, in association with Ted Turner and Warner Bros.
Maxwell plans to produce a third film in this trilogy, “Last Full Measure,” also based on a Jeff Shaara novel, some time in the future.
